Opposes Attacks by Cuomo and Duffy on Unions, Schools

Howie Hawkins, the Green Party candidate for Governor, will hold a news conference on Tuesday August 10th at Rochester City Hall, 30 Church St,, to state his support for public schools and state workers, and his opposition to a property tax cap.

Rochester Mayor Bob Duffy was chosen as the Lt. Governor running mate for Andrew Cuomo partially due to his track record in "tangling" with unions.

Hawkins will also discuss Cuomo's proposed property tax cap and the threat it poses for public schools.

Hawkins will speak to the Men in Transition at the Jewish Community Center, Edgewood Ave., in Rochester, on Tuesday at 9 AM.
